Welcome! This is my attempt at an Un-official Martha Wainwright Blog. It's been going for a while now and although there was a need to begin with- Since I first started out, Martha's website and Facebook page have lots more info! This is just a back up now really, but hope it is useful :)

Another reminder about the 'Every Mother Counts' CD and film

Martha has two songs on the CD which is on sale now in Starbucks in the US and Canada and Martha composed music for the film, that will be aired on 7th May.

I say it should be sold over here in the UK too! (Well worldwide!)

Back! With a few goodies that you may or may not have seen....

Decided things seem to be less hectic than they were and it is the least I can do to still upload the things I find/see somewhere else.... Apologies for going away as such- but just didn't want you to think I would have updated info here when I didn't. On reflection I don't think it would have taken so long to keep up to date! Anyway, all that said, here we go:

So- you have prob already seen these things already, but just in case:

Martha Wainwright.com has this link to a rather large article in this month's 'Elle" magazine.

There seem to be quite a few pics of this event about, but I think this one has the most comprehensive selection, with Martha featuring a lot in them here: SAKS FIFTH AVENUE Celebrates the Launch of COSTUME NATIONAL

Also, there is a Kate McGarrigle documentary that will hopefully take place if the family get enough finds together. It will contain performances from the upcoming NY tribute concerts. Here is an article from CBC and there is more info, including about how to donate here on Rufus' website. (Phew took a while to find that link.)

You might also like to know that a new Kate and Anna McGarrigle Box set called 'Tell My Sister' is going on sale. It will include their first two albums as well as an album of previously unreleased demos. Here is a link to the McGarrigle website, explaining more about the release on Nonesuch records, May 3rd.
